Iterating in a Thread

You rarely get the perfect answer on the first try — and that's fine. The real power of AI chat is the back-and-forth.
The AI remembers what you said earlier in the same conversation, so you can keep refining instead of rewriting your whole prompt:
• "Make it shorter."
• "More casual tone."
• "Add a sentence about the new deadline."
• "Give me three more options."
• "Now turn that into an email."
Good habits:
• Keep one topic per thread. Start a new conversation for a new subject so the context stays clean.
• Steer with small corrections rather than starting over.
• If it goes off track, say what's wrong: "That's too formal and too long — half the length, friendlier."
• Ask it to show its reasoning or list assumptions if something looks off.
Think of it as editing with a collaborator: nudge, review, repeat until it's right.
